3rd August 2009 Good Food and Wine Show
The past few months have been extremely busy here at Silkwood. We were involved in both the Sydney and Perth Good Food and Wines Shows.It was our first foray into fully showcasing our award winning wines and the feedback has been very encouraging. We hope to see our wines in quite a few bottle shops and restaurants in Perth and Sydney over the next few months.
The vineyard has also been very busy lately with pruning just finishing up. New plantings of Malbec, Zinfandel, Semillon and Chardonnay will be going in in the next few weeks in the hope of producing some more top quality wine varieties.
Silkwood Cellar Door is finally open after nearlly four months of renovations and upgrades. Our kitchen and deck area have been extended and the gardens and roads revamped. We have been very busy since re-opening with locals and tourists alike wanting to see the improvements. We are delighted with the outcome and our patrons seem just as impressed as we are.
We are open for lunches and wine sales from Fridays to Mondays, 10am to 4pm.
