4th December 2007 Summertime
Summertime – and the livin’ is easy !!!! and doesn’t the picture just reflect those sentiments.
Lakeside Cellar Door is at its most beautiful from now on – overlooking the lake, with a ‘Tasting Sample’ of easy drinking cool climate wines, - life does not get much better than that.
The vines are looking spectacular this season – so far. All that is needed is some hot weather to complete the cycle. The berries are forming and the ‘eco green’ fertiliser system is starting to show just how good the vineyard can look going back to the old system of fertilising. The guinea fowls are doing a great job, however they are certainly not learning that cars and tractors hurt if they hit them!
Chloe and Missy are growing big – well… sort of!! possibly as big as they are going to get… and that is still small and cute. .. and they have discovered the dams.. and just love to go for an evening dip – or early morning one, whenever they can ‘escape’.
With a change in the season, and a change in the colour of the website, our gourmet tasting platters have a seasonal change too…. Kind of summing up what is happening now in the vineyard and winery – change!
